The Case for 'No'
Disclaimer: Far West Community Partnerships does not endorse either the 'Yes' or 'No' campaigns, the purpose of sharing this information is to provide individuals with the opportunity to gain and understanding of the context and the key points from both campaigns to make an informed decision when voting in the referendum.
Overview

There are a few key reasons people support the case for 'No'. For some, there are too many unknowns of the Voice model. Another reason is the risk(s) of enshrining a body in the constitution. Some people are concerned that a Voice to Parliament would be divisive.

Concern About the Unknown

The no campaign is concerned that there is no detail about how the Voice would be chosen or how it would operate. Australians are being asked to vote first before the details are worked out.

Concern About the Risks

The no campaign is concerned about the risk the the Voice may pose to the system of government. The Voice covers all areas of "Executive Government". The argument is that no issue would be beyond the reach of the Voice to make representations to. Their concern is that this process would cause delays and dysfunctional government and that enshrining it in the constitution will mean Australians will be permanently stuck with any negative consequences of the Voice.

Concern About the Voice Being Divisive

The no campaign is concerned that enshrining a Voice to Parliament for only one group of Australians will permanently divide the country.
